Pacific City Oregon Coast Micro Wedding {Molly + Blake}

Getting married in 2020 was no easy task, but thankfully the couple chose Carisa with Adornment Events to handle all the little details.

After downsizing the guest list and changing the venue, Molly and Blake finally tied the knot at the private residence on Oregon Coast.

Oregon weather is always unpredictable, the rain was a part of the wedding ceremony. Thankfully Lindsay Blake Photography was able to capture some amazing photos..

After the ceremony, the couples and their closest friends and family changed into their jeans and custom printed hoodies. Celebrating the night away in ultimate comfort.

Portland Wedding at Oregon City Private Property Boho Garden Party {McKell + Mike}

Lets take a minute and really appreciate all the beauty at this private property. Mckell’s family worked hard and really knocked it out of the park for their big day. With 300 guests in attendance it was a great space to spread out and really enjoy this August day.

The Ceremony took place in the garden while the Reception was out on the lawn. They also build a large silo which served as a bar. The property featured a few lounge set ups as well as a kids area.

Here is another wedding where Carisa and her team with Adornment Events really made it happen. While private properties are great for events; every single items must be sourced and brought in.

It was a team effort to get all the items set up and ready in time. Never underestimate the power a great Wedding Vendor Team has. It truly takes a village to execute an event.

Mckell chose to focus on bold jewel tones to perfectly accent the green surroundings, while really elevating the Boho decor style through out the wedding.

Portland Wedding at Scholls Valley Lodge {Rose + Zeb}

Scholls Valley Lodge is one of my favorite outdoor venues. Its close to Portland yet tucked into the wine country. It’s a great option with covered patio to accommodate the unpredictable Oregon weather.

We love to plan on nice weather, but sometimes in the spring the rain is just part of the deal. That did not put a damper on Rose and Zeb’s big day. Thank you Rachel Lecrone Photography for braving the weather and capturing some amazing photographs.

I also cannot stress enough that a Day of Coordinator is a must! Carisa and her team with Adornment Events were literally cleaning off the rain water from the cement pad to get it ready just in time for the guests to arrive for the ceremony. This is not a job for a family or bridal party members. They came to the wedding to spend the time with you.

The ceremony was originally planned to be out on the lawn but had to be moved under the covering. All said and done, the wedding turned out beautiful none the less.

I really loved the dark wood arbor that we adorned with mixed greenery, which then doubled as a head table backdrop. To go along with the wood theme, we used dark stained wood boxes as centerpieces. Featuring the most beautiful locally gown spring peonies, spray roses and variety of foliage.

Rose choose a bright pop of coral color for her bouquet, floral crown as well as the cake flowers.

Bridal bouquet consisted of the most gorgeous coral charm peonies, locally grown garden roses, succulents, ferns, berries, spirea, lisianthus and the brides favorite-Succulents.

Speaking of the cake-Dream Cakes never disappoints. I always enjoy accenting their cakes with our beautiful flowers.

Portland Wedding at Riverview Restaurant {Grace + Rob}

Grace and Rob had a gorgeous wedding at Rivierview Restaurant. Its a hidden gem that’s located on the way to the Gorge in Troutdale, Oregon. They have several options available for both ceremony and reception layouts- both indoors and out.

The ceremony took place outside in the gazebo/garden while the reception was indoors. The large beautiful windows look out on to the Sandy River.

I really loved the reception set up with long tables and gold chivari chairs. It absolutely transformed the space.

The rest of the photos took place at the nearby waterfalls as well as around the property.

I loved Graces’ unique yet modern 2 piece gown from BHLDN. It suited her quite well. It was fun incorporating orchids as a nod to brides Hawaiian heritage.

Portland Cathedral Park St Johns Bridge Fall Wedding Editorial Shoot

This was a beautiful fall day at Cathedral Park at the St Johns Bridge in Portland.

The fall floral bounty included the most gorgeous dark burgundy dahlias that are grown right here in Oregon. As well as my favorite textures: Nigella Pods, Lisianthus, Scabiosa, Olive Branch, Roses, Nine Bark, Seedum and Geranium. Some of which came from my own cutting garden.

I loved collaborating with Ashely Marie Photography once again {If you are not familiar with her beautiful work, do yourself a favor and check it out.}

This was also a first time working with Everly and Opal; the newest Plus Size Bridal Shop here in Portland.

Portland Modern Minimalist Wedding at The Bell Tower Chapel- Holly + Mason

Holly was so fun to work with. Being a military wedding, we had to plan everything relatively quickly but since its spring time -there was no shortage of gorgeous blooms. I really loved Holly’s trendy design aesthetic. She wanted to have a lush greenery installation over the ceremony area-which also doubled as the backdrop for their sweetheart table.

The centerpieces, guest book table, sweetheart table and other design elements had a minimalist modern approach to it. I really enjoyed using our gold geometric terrariums and gold votives to play up the minimalistic all foliage designs.

Its always a pleasure working at the newly remodeled The Bell Tower Chapel in Boring, OR. Its a blank canvas for various wedding styles and color palettes.

Congratulations Holly and Mason-it was a pleasure designing for your wedding day. Many Blessings on your new life together.

Portland Wedding at Waverley Country Club - Morgan + Chad

Morgan and Chad’s elegant wedding was held at the classic Waverley Country Club in Portland, Oregon.

The weather was absolutely perfect for this early June wedding. Both Ceremony and Reception were held outdoors on the lawn overlooking the beautiful Willamette River.

I build a lush floral installation to mark the ceremony area-which was inspired by a beautiful mantel piece.

We all know June means local peonies!!! I literally used over 300 stems of perfectly blush peonies in centerpieces, bouquets and installation. Many thanks to my wonderful farmer friend who grows those beauties especially for our wedding clients.

Some of my favorite pieces from this wedding would have to be the fun yet classy bridesmaids rompers. Absolutely gorgeous cake from Lux Sucre -mimicking the detailing on the brides gown. And the delicious Charcuterie Table spread by Waverly Country Club.

Villa Catalana Cellars - Italian Fine Art Inspired Wedding Shoot in Portland

I can’t believe I am just now getting around to blogging this amazing shoot with Dima Karpenko Photography.

It was a beautiful collaboration that got published by Adorn Magazine.

So many elegantly curated details to showcase the absolutely breathtaking Villa Catalana Cellars which is a gorgeous stone villa that perfectly embodies the look and feel of Italy.

Bridal Bouquet consisted of 100% American Grown Flowers {Oregon + California} Olive, Peonies, blueberries, plums, martagon lilies, nandina, garden roses and scabiosa. Accented with luxurious champagne colored silk ribbon.

It was a pleasure bringing this Italian inspiration to life, and we could not have done it without the amazing team of wedding pros.

Ilsa + Sean- A Portland Oregon wedding at the World Forestry Center

Ilsa and Sean had a wonderful celebration that included their closest friends and family and even their pup.

I enjoyed working with some of my favorite wedding pros including: Adornment Events Coordination, Party Place Rentals, Aniko Productions Photography, Chef’s Table Catering, Laurie Clarke Cakes and others.

When you get married at the World Forestry Center you do not compete with the beautiful natural decor. Instead you enhance it by utilizing the locally grown ferns, greenery and textures.

Ilsa carried a hand-tied bouquet featuring both dahlias and peonies; which is hard to do since they are grown in opposite seasons. Accented with lots of foliage, textures and berries.

I loved creating this gorgeous woodland statement piece for the guest book table. This log came from the Oregon Coast and I adorned it in flowers, ferns, pods and succulents.

My favorite design was this fun floral wall with moss, succulents, ferns and amaranthus. It was the perfect backdrop for the delicious dessert table provided by Laurie Clarke Cakes.

Chef’s Table Catering served up some delicious food.

Sarah + Cameron's Portland Oregon Wedding at The Riverview Restaurant

I absolutely loved the color palette for Sarah and Cameron’s wedding. Blush, burgundy and navy with gold accents makes for a very beautiful combination.

Riverview Restaurant was a perfect backdrop for their wedding day.

Sarah’s bouquet was chock full of beautiful summer blooms -including Cafe au lait dahlias, burgundy dahlias, scabiosa, chocolate cosmos, garden spray roses, garden roses, nine bark, geranium and more.

Mixing dark and light blooms together can be a difficult task. You don’t want to have a polka dot effect. It takes practice to blend the contrasting tones together seamlessly -basically like painting.

I cannot say enough about our local Oregon flower farmers who grow all the amazing floral varieties for us to work with. Almost every single bloom used here was American grown. We love supporting #Americangrownflowers

Nikki and Patrick had their ceremony at the Oaks Pioneer Chapel in Sellwood, Oregon.

The reception was held at the gorgeous Mt Hood Organic Farms.

Bethany Small Photography captured some amazing photos. I especially loved the sunset and dusk shots with the Mt Hood in the backdrop.

Can we talk about how gorgeous Nikki’s gown was? absolutely exquisite! I also loved the beautiful mismatched gray bridesmaids dresses. Such a fun way to bring in some personality while flattering each body style.

Portland Oregon wedding at Urban Studios Tristan + Haley

Tristan and Haley had a gorgeous wedding at Urban Studio {One of my favorite venues in Downtown Portland}.

Bringing the outside in, means there is greenery and vines everywhere with a pop of blush pink and rose gold. A perfect setting for a hot August day.

Haley’s cascading bridal bouquet included locally grown Cafe au lait dahlias, garden roses, pepper berry vines, pops of blue eryngium and peonies.

I loved the mismatched look of the floral and the vessels. From rose gold mercury glass to white washed wood boxes, to clear elevated vases filled with lush greenery. Everything worked so beautifully to bring just enough elegance with a twist of rustic.

Rosycake provided a beautiful semi-naked wedding cake for us to adorn with flowers.

Portland Oregon Wedding at Abernethy Center Abigail's Garden - Lidia + Pascal

Getting married in early October is always a weather gamble here in Oregon. But the rainy weather did not hold those love birds back.

Thankfully we were able to adjust our design plans and set up the arbor inside the tent versus using the gazebo.
Beautiful Blush and Gray tones were threaded all throughout the decor and attire.

Bridal bouquet consisted of Cafe au lait dahlias, garden roses, calla lilies {Bride and Groom Favorite}, blushing bride protea, lisianthus and accented with three types of eucalyptus and ruscus foliage.

Sadly rain takes away the dahlias so this was the last chance we had to design with those blush beauties in 2018.

Wedding floral design trends. Modern fine art bridal editorial shoot

Mid Century Modern is a big trend at the moment. We see it everywhere; from furniture to fashion to interior design. Wedding decor and design always changes and evolves with the newest trends.

Who loves this look of dry floral, pampas grass, bleached foliage and all things minimalist and modern?

It’s always fun to experiment with new things and make them more elegant and stylish to fit my Sophisticated design aesthetic.

Bridal bouquet consisted of delicate spring flowers including Ranunculus, Garden roses, butterfly Ranunculus, Hyacinths, Orchids, bleached and dried Bunny tails, Ruscus and skeleton leaves.

Although dry flowers have their own set of challenges; being more delicate, fragile and not to mention messy. The overall look is definitely effortless, artistic and impactful.

Light and airy suspended floral installations are always fun to create. It provides a wonderful focal area in any space.

Portland Oregon Engagement Session with Aniko Productions -Huong + Quan

I cannot get over the beautiful red dress Huong wore for her engagement session with Aniko Productions.

The photos took place at the International Rose Test Garden as well as overlooking downtown Portland and the Willamette River.

Libby and Sal's Portland Oregon Victorian Belle Wedding

Libby and Sal had their first look photos taken at the St John’s Bridge and then headed over to the Victorian Belle in Portland for their ceremony and reception.

I loved the blush and ivory bridesmaids bouquets against their pale blue dresses. That was a popular bridesmaids dress color for 2018.

Libby’s bouquet featured locally grown dahlias, blush lisianthus, garden roses, blush hypericum, queen annes lace and more.

Dream Cakes provided the gorgeous wedding cake that I had the honor of accenting with foliage and textures.
